Moong Dal |
Ingredients Needed:
1. Split Moong dal: 1 cup
2. Carrot: 1
3. Capsicum: 1
4. Garlic: Medium size 3
5. Turmeric: 1 tsp
6. Sambar Powder: 1 tblsp
7. Curry leaves
8. Oil: 2 tbsp
9. Tomato: 1 medium size
10. Asafoetida
11. Fenugreek seeds: 1 tsp
12. Shallot : 1
13. Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
14. Coriander leaves
15. Salt
Instruction:
Step 1: Cook 1cup of moong dal in pressure cooker with 3 cup water, turmeric, garlic, tomato, salt, and 1 tbsp castor oil for about 5 whistle.
Step 2: In cooking pan, add oil, asafoetida, mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds let it to pop.
Step 3: Then add, curry leaves, onion and saute it for a minute and add, carrots, capsicum, Sambar powder and saute, then add dal water mix well and cover it for 5 mins.
Step 4: Once the veggies cooked, add mashed moong dal, adjust salt and water consistency and let it cook for 1 boil. Finally garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy with idi, dosa.
