Cuisine : IndianIngredients Needed:
- Basmathi rice: 1 cup
- Asparagus: 1 cup fine chopped
- Carrot: 1 medium size
- Cumin seeds: 1 tbsp
- Oil or butter: 4 tbsp
- Large Onion: 1/2 finely chopped
- Garlic and ginger fine chopped: 1 tbsp
- Homemade Sambar powder: 1 tbsp (or) 1/2 tbsp chili powder + 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
- Cloves: 2
- Salt
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Instruction:
- Add 2 cups of water in a pan with 1/2 tbsp salt,1 tbsp oil let it to boil, Add washed basmathi rice in the water and cook it until soft.
- In a saute pan, add 3 tbsp oil once oil gets hot, add cumin seeds, cloves saute it, then add, ginger, garlic let it fry with nice aroma, then add, onion and saute it.
- Next, add carrot and asparagus saute it and add sambar powder, salt and mix well then cover with lid and cook until soft in a medium flame to avoid burning.
- Then add, cooked basmathi rice, mix well and garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and enjoy with crispy potato fry or curd.
