Mint Chutney

Fresh mint is available all year-round, but it is most abundant in the warm summer months. This versatile herb is used as a cooling and refreshing  properties. Mint is as tasty as it is healthy. The chopped leaves incorporated into a dish to make the most of this herb’s aromatic, flavorsome and digestive abilities. Using this aromatic herbs to cook mint chutney. We can use this as a side dish for samosa, idly, dosa.

Ingredients Needed:

  • Chopped Mint leaves: 1 cup
  • Chopped Coriander leaves: 1 cup
  • Ginger as needed
  • Garlic: 2 to 3 Ns
  • Green Chili: 2 Ns
  • Cumin Seed: 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal: 1 tbsp
  • Chana Dal: 1 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds: 1 tbsp
  • Roasted gram: 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Tamarind as needed
  • Sesame oil or olive oil: 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
  • Grated Coconut: 4 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion
  • Salt as needed
Instruction:
  1. In a pan, add oil after few second add coriander seeds, Cumin seeds, Urad dal, Chana dal, roasted gram and saute it.
  2. In same pan, add ginger, garlic, green chili, onion, turmeric powder and some salt to roast onion.
  3. After onion get roasted, add chopped mint and coriander leaves and cook for 5 mins.
  4. Finally, add tamarind and grated coconut.
  5. Cool it and add to mixer jar and make a paste. While making paste, add some lemon for taste if needed.
