Sesame Chutney |
Ingredients Needed:
- White sesame: 1 tbsp
- Black sesame: 1 tbsp
- Onion: 1 medium size
- Oil: 2 tbsp
- Urad dal: 1 tbsp
- Chana dal: 1 tbsp
- Garlic: 2 large
- Chopped Ginger: 1 tsp
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
- Salt as needed
- Tamarind: 1/2 lemon size
- Grated Coconut: 1/2 cup
- Red chili: 2 Nos
Instruction:
- In a deep bottom pan, add white sesame and black sesame and saute it for 3 to 5 mins in low flame. Transfer this in to plate and keep aside.
- In same pan, or else in another pan, add oil when oil gets hot, add urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds and red chili with a pinch asafoetida.
- After few second add, onion, chopped ginger and garlic with a little salt to fry.
- Once onion gets fried, add tamarind, salt as needed, coconut and off the flame. Cool it and mix all the ingredients in a mixer jar and make a chutney by adding little amount of water.
