Simple and easy Curry leaves Chutney(Karuveppillai Chutney)

Ingredients Needed:


  • Currry leaves: 1 cup
  • Grated Coconut: 4 tbsp
  • Urad dal: 2 tbsp
  • Coriander seeds: 2 tbsp
  • Red chili: 2 Nos
  • Garlic: 2 Pcs medium size
  • Chana dal: 2 tbsp
  • Tamarind: Small pea size
  • Turmeric a pinch
  • Asafoetida a pinch
  • Salt as needed

Instruction:

  1. In a small pan, add urad dal, Chana dal, coriander seeds, and red chili and saute it until you get a nice aroma.
  2. After that, add, garlic, Asafoetida , turmeric powder and nicely washed curry leaves and saute it to get dry, off the flame and add the tamarind, salt as needed and grated coconut.
  3. Cool it, add to a mixer jar, make a fine paste using water and enjoy with idly, dosa or hot rice with ghee.
Note: Wash the curry leaves, dry it in a small towel and use it.
