Garlic Gravy(பூண்டு குழம்பு) |
Ingredients Needed:
- Garlic: 5 to 10 medium size
- Small Onion: 10 medium size
- Tomato: 3 medium size
- Coriander Seeds: 2 tbsp
- Chana dal: 1 tbsp
- Urad dal: 1 tbsp
- White sesame: 1 tsp
- Black pepper: 5 Nos
- Cumin seeds: 2 tbsp
- Sesame oil: 5 tbsp
- Dried Red Chili: 2 Nos
- Green Chili: 2 nos
- Fenugreek: 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds: 1 tsp
- Curry Leaves as needed
- Coriander Leaves as needed
- Tamarind: 1 small lemon size
- Salt as needed
Instruction:
- Take a fry pan, add sesame oil, once oil gets hot, add cumin seeds, black pepper, coriander seeds, chana dal, urad dal, white sesame and saute it for 2 mins,
- Then add red chili, green chili and saute it, then add, small onion with some salt to make onion fry next add tomatoes, tamarind and saute until tomatoes cook.
- Cool this ingredients, make a fine paste in a mixer jar and keep aside.
- In a deep bottom pan, add sesame oil, cumin seeds, fenugreek and mustard seeds.
- Once mustard seeds gets Popped, add small onion and garlic with some salt and saute it until get soft. Next add, the mixed paste with some water depends on your thickness and boil it for 15 mins in a low flame.
- Finally, add curry leaves and coriander leaves with 1 tbsp sesame oil and serve it.
